Stan White, an Ohio native, earned All Big Ten and All American honors while playing linebacker at theOhio State University. Following college, Stan was a 17th round draft pick of the Baltimore Colts in the 1972 NFL draft.

From 1972 through 1979 Stan played in nearly every game for the Colts. From his linebacker position he intercepted 25 passes, including an incredible eight interceptions during the 1975 season. Stan also scored two touchdowns in eight years with Baltimore.

His NFL career continued in Detroit, where he played for three seasons, accumulating nine more interceptions for the Lions defense. Stan completed his playing career with two seasons in the USFL, during which he played for the Chicago Blitz and the Arizona Wranglers. He retired following the 1984 season.

He is a long-time contributor to sports programming on WBAL-AM, and since 2007 has served as a color analyst for Baltimore Ravens' game broadcasts, teaming with play-by-play announcer Gerry Sandusky and analyst Rob Burnett.
